The Sherman Planning & Zoning Commission meets the Tuesday after the second city council meeting of each month, or as needed, at 5 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, Sherman City Hall, 220 W. Mulberry, Sherman, Texas. Please verify dates with the Planning & Zoning Department at 903-892-7229.

The nine-member board is appointed by the Sherman City Council. The Board considers requests for zoning changes and exceptions, reviews new development plans and provides guidance on current City of Sherman zoning laws.

Board of Adjustment

The Board of Adjustment convenes during the scheduled monthly Planning & Zoning meeting to consider requests and appeals on zoning decisions. In order to have a request considered, a property owner or representative must submit a zoning application by the deadlines listed in the schedule below. The forms may be picked up at the Building and Zoning office at 220 W. Mulberry or may be printed from the online form and returned to the office.
