The Sherman Day Care Center is a state licensed four star CCA child care center. State requirements are met or exceeded to provide high quality care for all children.

We believe young children learn best through play, and our program is designed to provide children with daily learning experiences to enhance their intellectual and physical development and to encourage positive social interactions. Children are kept busy in story time, music, art, block and science centers, with puzzles and small muscle manipulative activities, and outside climbing, running and general fun.

Caregivers plan and implement daily activities based on the overall curriculum goals, as well as the specific needs of individual children. Staff members respond to each child in a positive manner appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level, implementing positive guidance techniques to encourage developmentally appropriate social behaviors.

The Sherman Day Care Center abides by the following:

	Licensed for 57 children, ages 4 weeks through year 5.
	Service is provided on an "as space available" basis.
	Eligible applicants must:
	Be Sherman residents;
	Meet state set income guidelines; and
	Be in a qualified training program or be employed.

The Sherman Day Care Center uses the following sources as revenue for its daily operations.

	Parent fees are on an income driven sliding scale.
	Subsidized by Child Care Association.
	Local initiative grant.
	City of Sherman general tax revenues.
