The Finance Department is responsible for the management and oversight of the City's budget, audits, investments, accounts payable and receivable, hotel tax collections, cashiering functions and accounting activities.

It is our responsibility to report all financial transactions with accuracy, fair presentation and full disclosure in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. We are also charged with the safeguarding of the City's financial assets.

Taxes Please remember that property taxes are now due at the Grayson County Courthouse. Checks should be made out to John Ramsey, Tax Assessor/Collector. They may either be mailed or taken to the Courthouse, located at 100 W. Houston in Sherman.
