City of Sherman provides recreational and social service activities for
the school aged and young adults at the Glennie O. Ham Center.
We offer several programs for our City youth.

Our After
School Latch Key Program is for those in kindergarten through
age 10. We provide arts and crafts activities, homework help, playground
activities, and video games. We do not provide the program during
school holidays. Please call us for information, eligibility criteria,
and registration. Transportation can be arranged through TAPS. |

Our all day Summer
Day Camp program is for kindergarten graduates through age
10 during the summer holiday term. We have a lot of fun with outdoor
park activities, educational activities, computer fun, arts and
crafts, and much more. There is a nominal fee for the program. Each
child is required to bring a sack lunch. Please call us after spring
break for registration. |

We also offer a wide
variety of activities and programs for our city's youth and
teenagers. Again, please call for information. |
The Glennie O. Ham Center also provides
the following facilities:

Arts & Crafts room. Sewing
machines are available. |

Computer Room. We have 3 computers with Word
and other programs available for fun and homework projects. There
is no Internet access. |

Library. Encyclopedias, resource books, and
light reading material are available. |
| |
Meeting Room. It can be reserved by community,
non-profit organizations. Please call for availability and information.
